Abstract:
An ECU (40) controls a step-up converter (10) by setting a target value for system voltage on the basis of power loss incurred by motor generators (MG1, MG2) and inverters (20, 30). The ECU (40) calculates the target value for the system voltage, using a function expression that approximates, for each of the operating points of the motor generators (MG1, MG2), a loss characteristic, which is for indicating changes in power loss in accordance with changes in the system voltage, with a quadratic or linear expression of the system voltage.
