Abstract:
Provided is a motor driving device having: a drive unit; a switching circuit for switching the path between a power supply and the drive unit to a conductive state and a cutoff state; an output circuit for outputting a voltage for instructing the switching circuit to perform a switching operation; and a control unit for outputting a switching operation command to the output circuit. The switching circuit has, in order from the power supply side, a first field-effect transistor and a second field-effect transistor that are connected in series through each of the sources thereof. When determining that the potential difference between the drains exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the control unit outputs, to the output circuit, a command for turning off the second field-effect transistor and the first field-effect transistor in this order to switch from the conductive state to the cutoff state. The output circuit outputs, according to the command, a command voltage to the gate of the second field-effect transistor and then outputs a command voltage to the gate of the first field-effect transistor.
