Abstract:
This motor support structure for a steering device comprises a rack bar, a rack housing which accommodates the rack bar, and a power generation unit which generates power for moving the rack bar. The power generation unit comprises: a motor having, on one end thereof, an output shaft extending in the axial direction of the rack bar; motor peripheral components disposed on the other end of the motor; and a first fastening tool which has a first bolt and fastens the motor and the motor peripheral components in the axial direction. The rack housing has a first support part which supports one end side of the power generation unit, and a second support part which supports the other end side of the power generation unit. The second support part has a leading end section connected to the other end side of the power generation unit. The leading end section of the second support part has a first hole section through which a shaft section of the first bolt passes, and is fastened to the first fastening tool together with the motor and the motor peripheral components.
