Abstract:
This motor has: a stator equipped with N-phase windings (N is a natural number); and a rotor equipped with a permanent magnet. An interlinkage magnetic flux generated in the stator by the rotor contains a fundamental magnetic flux component and an N×K-order harmonic magnetic flux component (K is a natural number). A current supply circuit supplies, to the N-phase windings, a current containing a fundamental current component for generating a rotating magnetic field and an N×K-order harmonic current component for generating a zero-phase magnetic field. For instance, a current containing the fundamental current component for generating a rotating magnetic field and a third-order harmonic current component (N=3, K=1) for generating a zero-phase magnetic field is supplied to 3-phase windings (N=3).
