CLAIMS
| 1. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition, which may be a cleansing and/or conditioning composition, comprising a foamable concentrate comprising at least one surfactant, an aqueous carrier, and which is substantially free of anionic surfactants, and an aerosol propellant. |
| 2. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition additionally comprises an anionic styling polymer. |
| 3. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the composition has a viscosity of less than 3000 cps. |
| 4. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 3 wherein the foamable concentrate is free of thickening agent. |
| 5. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to any preceding claim wherein the composition comprises 85 to 98% foamable concentrate and 2 to 15% aerosol propellant. |
| 6. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to any preceding claim wherein the composition comprises 6% or less of anionic surfactant. |
| 7. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 15 wherein the composition is totally free of anionic surfactant. |
| 8. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to any preceding claim wherein the composition comprises a thinner. |
| 9. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 8 wherein the thinner is polyethylene glycol or polypropylene glycol. |
| 10. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to any preceding claim wherein the at least one surfactant is a nonionic surfactant. |
| 11. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 10 wherein the nonionic surfactant is an nmethyl alkyl glucamide surfactant having a chain length of C12Cl4. |
| 12. | A mousse forming hair treatment composition according to claim 311 wherein the anionic polymer is present in the composition at a level of 0.22%. |
| 13. | A topical mousse foaming hair treatment product comprising a treatment composition according to any of claims 112 packaged in a can with hardware capable of generating a mousse on dispensing of the foamable concentrate. |
