Abstract:
A movement assistance device (1) is provided with: a back plate (10) to be worn on a wearer's back; long back frames (11) which are supported so as to pivot freely in a plane parallel to the back plate (10) by pivoting axes that are fixed to the back plate (10); side frames (12) which are fixed to the back frames (11) and supported so as to pivot freely by pivoting axes that are parallel to the longitudinal direction of the back frames (11), and which extend from the back frames (11) to the vicinity of the sides of the wearer's hips; thigh-pressing sections (14) to be fitted on the front of the wearer's thighs; and driving parts (13) which are connected to the respective side frames (12) and thigh-pressing sections (14), and generate force to widen the angle formed by the side frame (12) and the thigh-pressing section (14).
