Abstract:
An autonomous moving body whereby the position of the autonomous moving body can be reliably estimated, and travel in accordance with a travel schedule can be appropriately performed. The autonomous moving body (1) comprises: a travel unit (25) having a plurality of actuators to which control amounts are input; a travel control unit (24) that generates control amounts input to the actuators, on the basis of travel commands; an obstacle information acquisition unit (21) that obtains position information for obstacles present in the vicinity, at each prescribed control cycle; a map creation unit (22) that creates a local map indicating the presence of obstacles in the peripheral area of a main body (1a), on the basis of the position information for obstacles; and a travel command generation unit (23) that outputs forced stop travel commands to the travel control unit (24), if the local map fulfills prescribed conditions.
