A moving body surroundings display method for a moving body surroundings display apparatus comprising: an imaging device which by means of imaging acquires surroundings information pertaining to the surroundings of a moving body; a controller (40) which creates a captured image based on the surroundings information and a virtual image showing the surrounding situation of the moving body; and a display (50) which displays the virtual image. In this moving body surroundings display method, an caution area around the moving body is detected, and a captured image of the caution area is created and displayed on the display (50).
