Abstract:
This moving handrail for a passenger conveyor comprises a moving handrail body and a core provided to the moving handrail body. A first area and a second area, which are adjacent to each other and for which a center line passing through the center of the moving handrail body in the width direction serves as the border therebetween, are set in a cross section of the moving handrail body on a plane orthogonal to the moving handrail body in the longitudinal direction. The core has a first core body disposed in the first area and a second core body disposed in the second area. The rigidity of the first core body and the rigidity of the second core body differ from each other. The moving handrail can move in a curved path that curves in the width direction of the moving handrail body.
