Abstract:
A refrigeration appliance, comprising: a body defining a refrigeration compartment; a door providing a way to selectively reach the refrigeration compartment; and a camera assembly operable to monitor the refrigeration compartment. The camera assembly comprises a plurality of cameras coupled to a multiplexer device via a plurality of cables and a controller coupled to the multiplexer device. The plurality of cameras are operable to simultaneously capture data associated with the refrigeration compartment. Each of the plurality of cameras is coupled to a cable of the plurality of cables. The multiplexer device is operable to multiplex different data signals having data associated with the refrigeration compartment and to output multiplexed signals comprising different data signals, the data signals being simultaneously provided to the multiplexer device by the plurality of cameras via the plurality of cables. The controller is configured to perform an operation based in part on reception of the multiplexed signal.
