Disclosed in the present application are a multi-carrier receiving method and a multi-carrier receiver. The multi-carrier receiver comprises a signal processing circuit and a plurality of receiving circuits, a receiving circuit comprises a processing circuit and a filtering switching circuit, and the processing circuit performs down-conversion on a multi-carrier signal to obtain an intermediate frequency signal. The filtering switching circuit comprises a selection circuit and a plurality of filters, the plurality of filters each have a different filter bandwidth, and the selection circuit selects one filter to filter the intermediate frequency signal. The signal processing circuit detects whether a strong carrier signal exists in the multi-carrier signal or not, and when the strong carrier signal exists in the multi-carrier signal, the selection circuits in at least two receiving circuits are controlled to select one of the filters to be connected to the processing circuit, so that the strong carrier signal and other carrier signals in the multi-carrier signal are filtered by means of different filters, respectively, and the strong carrier signal is a carrier signal with the signal strength greater than a preset signal strength. By means of the above method, the present application can improve a dynamic range of the receiver.
