The present invention relates to the technical field of air conditioning, and relates in particular to a multi-connected air conditioning system noise control method and controller. The present invention solves the problem that existing technical solutions which use replacement large-bore electronic expansion valves to solve heating indoor unit standby noise are poor in terms of effect and high in terms of cost. The multi-connected air conditioning system noise control method comprises the following steps: when an operating mode of a multi-connected air conditioning system is a heating mode, obtaining an operating time of the heating mode; when the operating time is greater than a time threshold value, controlling expansion valves corresponding to indoor units in a standby state in preset rooms to close. By controlling the expansion valves corresponding to the indoor units in the preset rooms to close completely, the present invention can perform noise control with respect to the preset rooms, so as to completely eliminate noise produced by the indoor units in the rooms, and significantly improve the user experience.
