Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a multi-factor authentication device and an operation method for same. An operation method for a server performing multi-factor authentication according to an embodiment may include the steps of: receiving an authentication request from a user terminal, the authentication request including first biometric information about the user of the user terminal, first location information about the user terminal, and identification information about the user terminal; combining the first biometric information and the first position information to generate first authentication information; acquiring second location information about the user terminal through a server of a mobile network operator on the basis of the identification information about the user terminal; detecting second authentication information including at least one among second biometric information about the user corresponding to the identification information about the user terminal and the second location information about the user terminal; and comparing the first authentication information with the second authentication information to perform multi-factor authentication.
