Abstract:
A multi-layer composite part having cushioning characteristics provided by the elastic deformation of a large number of protrusions has further improved feel. A multi-layer composite part is configured so that minute protrusions (20) are deflected and deformed to one (a) side while being guided by a sloped surface (38) provided on a base material (14). Consequently, the minute protrusions (20) are easily deflected and deformed, and the softness increases. Also, the direction of deflection of each of the minute protrusions (20) can be controlled. Consequently, the manner of deformation occurring when the minute protrusions (20) are elastically deformed is consistent, and a variation in feel imparted to a user when the user presses the multi-layer composite part with their hand or finger is reduced. Further, the direction of deflection of the large number of minute protrusions (20) can be individually determined. Consequently, for example, the minute protrusions (20) can be densely arranged so as not to interfere with each other. As a result, a variation in feel caused by the presence or absence of the minute protrusions (20) is reduced, and the elastic deformation of the minute protrusions (20) reliably provides predetermined softness.
