A multi-layer modular home and a connecting assembly thereof. A connecting assembly (1) comprises connectors (13), first connecting modules (11) configured to be connected to first boxes (2), and second connecting modules (12) configured to be connected to second boxes (3), wherein each connector (13) is provided with a connecting portion (131), a shear-resistant portion (132) and a calibration portion (133) which are connected in sequence; the connecting portions (131) are configured to be connected to the first connecting modules (11); each second connecting module (12) is provided with a calibration hole (121) through which the shear-resistant portion (132) and the calibration portion (133) adaptively pass, and a grouting chamber (122) in communication with the calibration hole (121); the shear-resistant portion (132) is of a dentiform structure, which is configured to engage with grouting material poured into the grouting chamber (122). When adjacent boxes are connected by means of the connecting assembly, the assembling process can be simplified, thereby improving the construction efficiency.
