Abstract:
The present invention relates to a multi-level selective rendering method and apparatus for improving rendering performance. The method comprises the steps of: setting a multi-level threshold for the current tile during rendering of an image frame segmented into a plurality of tiles; performing initial sampling on the current tile so as to generate initial sampling blocks; performing first-level selective sampling according to a first-level threshold of the multi-level threshold on the basis of the initial sampling blocks, so as to generate first-level blocks; performing second-level selective sampling according to a second-level threshold of the multi-level threshold on the basis of the first-level blocks, so as to generate second-level blocks; and, if multi-level selective rendering on the current tile is completed through repeating of level-specific selective renderings, initiating the multi-level selective rendering for the tile after the current tile.
