Abstract:
Provided are a battery module and a battery pack including same to delay an ignition phenomenon during thermal runaway of a battery cell inside the battery module. The battery module according to the present invention comprises: a module case; one or more battery cells located inside the module case; two or more refrigerant ejection nozzles for ejecting a refrigerant into the module case; and a refrigerant tank which is connected to the refrigerant ejection nozzles, wherein a low-melting-point metal valve is mounted at the inlet of each of the refrigerant ejection nozzles, and for each of the nozzles, the low-melting-point metal valve has a different melting point.
