Abstract:
A longitudinal torsion axle (10) comprising: at least one torsion assembly that comprises a housing (14) and at least one stage within the housing, each stage comprising a shaft (20) and an elastomeric bushing (25) about the shaft; a connecting arm (60) attached to the shaft and a wheel spindle (50) pivotally connected to the end of the connecting arm, the wheel spindle having an axis that is 90° to the axis of the shaft.
