Title:
MULTI-STAGE MEMBRANE SEPARATION PROCESS FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY PERFORMING CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE AND NITROGEN CONCENTRATION OF COMBUSTION FLUE GAS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/014762
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a multi-stage membrane separation process that combines: (I) a multi-stage membrane separation process for capturing carbon dioxide contained in combustion flue gas; and (II) a process for concentrating nitrogen in connection with the multi-stage membrane separation process, and is characterized in that carbon dioxide capture and nitrogen concentration of combustion flue gas are simultaneously performed. According to the invention, the carbon dioxide concentration in a permeate portion is increased such that it is possible to capture carbon dioxide, and the concentration efficiency and processed amount of nitrogen gas are increased, and thus it is possible to lower the unit cost of capturing greenhouse gases due to the use of nitrogen gas.
