Abstract:
A multicast service processing method and an access point are disclosed. The method comprises: an access point (AP) generating, according to a multicast message, a first group address frame and an independent address frame, the first group address frame being encrypted by a first multicast key, and the independent address frame being encrypted by a unicast key of a second terminal. Because a first terminal and the second terminal in a multicast group have different multicast keys, the first terminal can decrypt the first group address frame after the first terminal receives the first group address frame so as to successfully receive the first group address frame while the second terminal cannot successfully receive the first group address frame but successfully receives the independent address frame, such that the AP is able to communicate with terminals in the multicast group by multicasting and converting to unicast at the same time, effectively balancing reliability and resource occupancy when the AP transmits multicast messages.
