Abstract:
Provided is a multilayer ceramic capacitor for which a reduction in reliability can be suppressed. A multilayer ceramic capacitor 1 has layered therein a plurality of dielectric layers 20 made of a ceramic material and a plurality of internal electrode layers 30. Each of the plurality of internal electrode layers 30 contains a first metal as the primary component. Each of the plurality of internal electrode layers 30 has formed therein a plurality of dielectric linking sections 30A that penetrate the same in the layering direction, that are filled with a portion of adjacent dielectric layers 20, and that link adjacent dielectric layers 20. A solid solution layer 30B in which a solid solution is formed with a second metal differing from the first metal is formed at the boundary face between the dielectric linking sections 30A and the internal electrode layers 30. The second metal content of the solid solution layer 30B is 1 mol% to 10 mol% in relation to 100 mol of the first metal.
