Title:
MULTILAYER CERAMIC CAPACITOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/238552
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a multilayer ceramic capacitor that enables a reduction in the mounting area. This multilayer ceramic capacitor 1 comprises: a substantially rectangular parallelepiped multilayer assembly 2 having a plurality of unit multilayer bodies 20 including internal electrode layers 5 and internal dielectric layers 4 disposed alternately; and external electrodes 30 disposed at each corner P of the multilayer assembly 2. The multilayer ceramic capacitor also includes a plurality of unit capacitors 10, each constituted by one of the unit multilayer bodies 20 and two of the external electrodes 30. When the two faces of the multilayer assembly 2 facing in the layering direction are the main faces, the two faces facing each other in the width direction intersecting the layering direction are the side faces, and the two faces facing each other in the length direction intersecting the layering direction and width direction are the end faces. The external electrodes 30 each have: an end face section 3c extending to one of the end faces; a side face section 3b extending to one of the side faces; and a main face section 3a extending to one of the main faces. The end face sections 3c, the side face sections 3b, and the main face sections 3a are substantially triangular in shape and constitute three side faces of a triangular pyramid with one corner P as the apex.
