Abstract:
The present invention provides: a multilayer container which has high transparency after boiling or retort processing, while having excellent oxygen barrier properties after retort processing and excellent formability; and a method for producing this multilayer container. The present invention provides a multilayer container which comprises a polyolefin layer that contains an acid-modified polyolefin and an acid-unmodified polyolefin, and a polyamide resin layer that is in contact with the polyolefin layer and contains a polyamide resin, wherein: the polyamide resin contains a polyamide resin (a) wherein 70% by mole or more of diamine-derived constituent units are derived from meta-xylylenediamine, 30% by mole to 60% by mole of dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent units are derived from an α, ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, and 70% by mole to 40% by mole of the dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent units are derived from isophthalic acid; the acid-unmodified polyolefin has a melt flow rate of 20 g/10 minutes or more; and the temperature XPO is higher than the melting point of the acid-unmodified polyolefin by 65°C.
