Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a multilayer sliding member (sliding plate piece 21), which is provided with a back plate (31), a porous metal sintered layer (32) formed on one surface of the back plate (31), and a coating layer (33) that is filled and deposited in the pore spaces and on the surface of the porous metal sintered layer (32), and that, in addition to a tetrafluoroethylene resin, comprises 10-40% of a metaphosphoric acid metal salt; and a rack-and-pinion-type steering device (1) provided with said multilayer sliding member (sliding plate piece 21).
