Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain a muscle quality improvement agent that is administered orally to a human or animal individual and that is able to cause qualitative change of muscle fibers of an individual administered to. [Solution] Provided is a muscle quality improvement agent that includes, as an active component, at least one of bacterial cells of either of complex bacteria NITE BP-1051 and complex bacteria ATCC PTA-1773, a fermentation product that contains the bacterial cells, or an isolate, extract, replicate, or an artifact that is derived from the bacterial cells or the fermentation product, or that includes, as an active component, at least one of Bacillus hisashii NITE BP-863, or an extract, replicate, or an artifact that is derived from the bacterial cells.
