Abstract:
The present invention provides a herbicide resistance gene, a polypeptide, and use thereof in plant breeding. Specifically, the present invention provides a mutant HPPD polypeptide and use thereof. Compared with a parent HPPD polypeptide, the mutant HPPD polypeptide comprises a mutation at any one or more of amino acid positions 207, 75, 228, 333, 27, 45, and 148 on the basis of SEQ ID No. 1. The mutant HPPD polypeptide has a strong tolerance to herbicides, and has broad application prospects in the field of improving the tolerance to HPPD-inhibiting herbicides and breeding a plant with a tolerance to such herbicides.
