Title:
MUTANT STRAIN HAVING ENHANCED L-GLUTAMIC ACID PRODUCING ABILITY, AND L-GLUTAMIC ACID PREPARATION METHOD USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/122505
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mutant strain having enhanced L-glutamic acid producing ability, and an L-glutamic acid preparation method using same. A mutant strain according to one specific example of the present invention has reduced or inactivated citramalate synthase activity and thus exhibits a reduced yield of citramalate which is a byproduct, and exhibits excellent L-glutamic acid producing ability. A strain having the YggB protein additionally mutated increases the discharge of glutamic acid and thus allows an enhanced product yield of the L-glutamic acid. Therefore, L-glutamic acid can be more effectively prepared by means of the mutant strain.
