Title:
NFATc1 EXPRESSION INHIBITOR, OSTEOCLAST DIFFERENTIATION OR ACTIVATION INHIBITOR, AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/022234
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide an inhibitor capable of inhibiting any expression of NFATc1; a differentiation inhibitor capable of inhibiting any differentiation of osteoclast attributed to the expression of NFATc1, or an activation inhibitor capable of inhibiting any activation thereof; and a remedial composition capable of remedy of diseases attributed to the expression of NFATc1. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The compound of the formula: (1) (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or C2-C4 alkanoyl) is capable of inhibiting any expression of NFATc1. Consequently, substances comprising as an active ingredient the compound of the above formula (1) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof are capable of inhibiting any differentiation or activation of osteoclast attributed to the expression of NFATc1 and are capable of remedy of diseases attributed to the expression of NFATc1.
