Abstract:
A nail clipper comprises: a cutter portion (1) comprising an upper cutter member (11) and a lower cutter member (12), and a pressing plate (3) provided with one pressing plate pin (4) at one end thereof; a blind rivet (5) rotatably passing through a blind rivet hole (122) of the lower cutter member (12) and being vertically movable along with the lower cutter member (12), the pressing plate pin (4) passing through an upper end of the blind rivet (5) to enable the blind rivet (5) and the pressing plate (3) to be connected in a relatively rotatable manner about the pressing plate pin (4); and a spacer block (112) fixed to the upper cutter member (11). When clipping a nail, a front surface (31) of the pressing plate (3) is pressed against the spacer block (112), the spacer block (112) supports the pressing plate (3) and the lower cutter member (12) is moved upward by a specific distance via the blind rivet (121), such that an upper blade (111) and a lower blade (121) are drawn together to clip the nail. To collapse the nail clipper, a rear surface (32) of the pressing plate (3) is oriented downward, such that the spacer block (112) is received in a first recess (33) in the rear surface (32) of the pressing plate (3), and the pressing plate (3) is able to rotate downward about the pressing plate pin (4) to the bottom thereof and collapse. The nail clipper has numerous advantages, such as having a simple and reliable structure, a round outline, a small volume, and being easy to put away.
