Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress a decrease in the efficiency of producing liquefied natural gas due to changes in an intake temperature and/or humidity of an intake port in an air-cooled natural gas liquefaction apparatus that liquefies natural gas. [Solution] The natural gas liquefaction apparatus includes a mist supply unit for lowering the temperature of suctioned air and/or increasing the humidity of the suctioned air below an intake port of an air-cooled heat exchanger for cooling a refrigerant. Furthermore, the temperature and/or humidity of external air in a region corresponding to the suctioned air are measured, and the mist supply unit is controlled to adjust the supply flow rate of the mist on the basis of the measured values of the temperature and/or humidity of the external air. Therefore, a decrease in the cooling capacity of a refrigerant due to an increase in the temperature and a decrease in the humidity around the natural gas liquefaction apparatus can be suppressed.
