Abstract:
Disclosed is an Nb3Al superconducting wire having a multifilamentary structure
wherein many Nb3Al thin wires are arranged in a metal matrix. High
melting point metal fibers having a melting point higher than those of Nb and Al
and being much thinner than the Nb3Al thin wires are dispersed in each
Nb3Al thin wire in such a manner that the lengths of the fibers are along
the center of the wire.
