Abstract:
Provided is a near infrared absorbing glass which has excellent weather resistance, resistance to devitrification, and optical properties even in the case where the glass does not contain fluorine. This near infrared absorbing glass is characterized by comprising, in mass%, 25-60% of P2O5, 2-19% of Al2O3, 10-45% of RO (provided that R is at least one type selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba), 0-13% of ZnO, 12-20% (not including 12% and 20%) of K2O, 0-12% of Na2O, and 0.3-20% of CuO.
