The invention relates to a needle (12) for inserting a wire into a tire, having: a boring area (18) having an axis of symmetry, and a channel (30) having a proximal opening and a distal opening (36) leading into said boring area (18) and eccentric with respect to the axis, the channel consisting of the proximal opening and a straight profiled segment including the distal opening.
