Abstract:
Provided are: a needle-shaped body production method that, in a step for molding a needle-shaped body using a resin plate, enables plate durability to be improved when releasing the needle-shaped body from the resin plate, and enables the productivity of the needle-shaped body to be improved; and a needle-shaped body. This needle-shaped body production method includes: a step for forming a needle-shaped body precursor (106) in which needle-shaped parts (105) are provided on a substrate part (104), and the portion of the needle-shaped parts (105) that comes into contact with the substrate part (104) is a polyhedral body; a step for creating a needle-shaped body original plate by forming curved parts (110), at at least a portion of the vertices of the polyhedral bodies, in a connection section (107) which is the interface between the substrate part (104) of the needle-shaped body precursor (106) and the needle-shaped parts (105); a step for creating the resin plate by transfer molding which uses the needle-shaped body original plate, the resin plate including an uneven pattern corresponding to the needle-shaped parts (105) and the curved parts (110) of the needle-shaped body original plate; and a step for creating the needle-shaped body by transfer molding which uses the resin plate, the needle-shaped body including needle shaped parts and curved parts which were transferred from the needle-shaped parts (105) and the curved parts (110).
