Abstract:
The negative electrode active material for electrical devices according to the present invention has an alloy containing more than 27 mass% but less than 100 mass% silicone, more than 0 mass% but less than 73 mass% aluminum, and more than 0 mass% but less than 58mass% niobium, with the remainder being made up of inevitable impurities. The negative electrode active material can be obtained using a multi-dimensional magnetron sputtering device, with silicon, aluminum and niobium as targets, for example. Electrical devices employing said negative electrode active material exhibit outstanding cycle characteristics, while maintaining a high service capacity.
