Abstract:
Provided are: a negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries, which enables a lithium ion secondary battery to have characteristics such as stable output and capacity; and a lithium ion secondary battery which has characteristics such as stable output and capacity. This negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries is used in a lithium ion secondary battery and is characterized by being configured of a laminate of a negative electrode collector and a negative electrode material layer that is mainly configured of a carbon material. The negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries is also characterized in that the limiting curvature radius of the negative electrode is 15 mm or less when the negative electrode material layer is in a dry state. The content of the hard carbon in the carbon material is preferably 5-45% by weight.
