The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery and a magnetic alignment device for manufacturing same. The magnetic alignment device uses magnet parts, provided above and below a negative electrode current collector coated with a negative electrode slurry, to apply a magnetic field to the negative electrode slurry, and in the magnet parts, a first region located upstream along the transport direction of the negative electrode current collector can apply a stronger magnetic force than a second region located downstream along the transport direction. Accordingly, the degree of alignment of the carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in the negative electrode slurry and the arithmetic mean height of the surface of the negative electrode active layer can be easily controlled within a specific range when manufacturing the negative electrode. In addition, the negative electrode thus manufactured has the advantages that the electrical properties of the negative electrode as well as the surface properties of the negative electrode active layer are excellent.
