Abstract:
Provided is a novel negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary batteries, which has high lithium ion conductivity and is capable of improving the cycle characteristics of a lithium ion secondary battery. A negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary batteries according to the present invention is characterized by containing a negative electrode active material that contains silicon and/or a silicon compound and a polymer that is represented by chemical formula (1). (In chemical formula (1), A represents a functional group having an amide group (-CONH-) and a sulfo group (-SO3X (wherein X represents an alkali metal atom or a hydrogen atom (H)); B represents a functional group having a polar functional group; each of R1-R6 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1-10 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom (H); and x and y represent composition ratios of the copolymer and satisfy 0 < x/(x + y) ≤ 1.)
