Abstract:
A negative plate for electrophotographic lithographic printing provided with a photoconductive layer containing: polymer ingredient in specific repeated units; resin [A] composed of polymer ingredient containing polar group and having 1 x 10?3� to 2 x 10?4� average molecular weight; dispersed resin particles [L] obtained when monomer (C) containing a functional group to produce carboxyl group by decomposition is dispersed and polymerized in the presence of dispersing and stabilizing resin soluble in non-aqueous solvent, and having substituent containing silicon atom and/or fluorine atom. Electrophotographic characteristic and moisture retentive power are improved by appropriate interaction between zinc oxide, spectral sensitizing dye, resin [A], and dispersed resin particles [L], and excellent printed image and high plate wear are exhibited even under severe conditions. This plate is effective for scanning exposure system using semiconductor laser beams.
