Abstract:
Provided are a lithium secondary battery and a negative pole piece thereof. The negative pole piece comprises a negative pole current collector and a negative pole active material layer arranged on at least one surface of the negative pole current collector, wherein a surface, close to the current collector, of the negative pole active material layer is provided with an elastic coating, which comprises an elastic polymer and a conductive agent; the elastic coating has a compression deformation of 20% to 80% under an intensity of pressure of 1 MPa to 20 MPa, and has an elastic modulus of 1 MPa to 800 MPa; and optionally, the elastic coating has a compression deformation of 30% to 60% under an intensity of pressure of 1 MPa to 20 MPa, and has an elastic modulus of 5 MPa to 100 MPa. In the negative pole piece containing the elastic coating provided in the present application, the elastic polymer comprised in the coating is conducive to reducing the elastic modulus and the internal stress, and the conductive agent is conducive to improving the conductivity of the coating, thereby reducing the electron transfer impedance. The elastic coating can effectively alleviate the change in volume generated during charging and discharging of the lithium secondary battery, reduce the internal stress generated by the expansion in volume of a negative pole during charging so as to suppress short circuiting, and ameliorate the interface contact failure caused by the contraction in volume of the negative pole during discharging.
