Abstract:
The present application provides a network configuration method and apparatus. After discovering an electronic device in a state to undergo network configuration, a wireless access device sends the name of a wireless local area network where the wireless access device is located to the electronic device by means of ultra-low power and/or sends a message responding to a network configuration request to the electronic device by means of the ultra-low power. After receiving the name of the wireless local area network where the wireless access device is located and the message responding to the network configuration request which are sent by the wireless access device, the electronic device negotiates with the wireless access device about the transmission of a password of the wireless local area network where the wireless access device is located, and connects to the wireless access device on the basis of the name and password of the wireless local area network where the wireless access device is located. In the present application, the electronic device can automatically establish a wireless local area network connection with the wireless access device merely by arranging the electronic device close to the wireless access device, so that the distance between the electronic device and the wireless access device is sufficiently close; and user operations are simple.
