Abstract:
A network function (NF) discovery method and device. The method comprises: NRF receives a first discovery request, wherein the first discovery request comprises level information corresponding to a target NF; the NRF sends a second discovery request to a central database according to the level information; the central database determines information of the target NF, the information of the NF comprising one of identity information of the NF, the determined level of the target NF, and a level corresponding to the level information, and sends the information of the target NF to the NRF; the NRF sends a discovery response, the discovery response comprising the information of the target NF. In the method, after receiving a discovery request, NRF obtains information of an NF from a central database. Thus, multi-layer deployment of NRF is no longer needed, so that a requester no longer needs to perform a complex NRF selection process when sending an NF discovery request.
