Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications, and provide a network function routing method, apparatus, and system, for use in providing routing information by a service discovery entity for a cNF in a service discovery process, so as to avoid the problem of complex and inflexible configuration caused by the cNF performing local routing policy configuration. The solution comprises: a first service discovery entity determines one or more pNFs that the cNF requests to access; the cNF is located in a domain where the first service discovery entity is located; in the case that the one or more pNFs are located in a domain where a second service discovery entity is located, the first service discovery entity obtains information on the one or more pNFs from the second service discovery entity; the first service discovery entity sends the information on the one or more pNFs and first routing information to the cNF. The first routing information is used for instructing the cNF to send a service request message for a target pNF to a first proxy network element. The first proxy network element is located in the domain where the first service discovery entity is located, or the first proxy network element is located in the domain where the second service discovery entity is located.
