Abstract:
A network management device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes an acquisition unit that acquires information objects relating to a plurality of failure occurrence paths in a logical layer of a network configuration, and a retrieval unit that: retrieves, as a candidate for an equipment piece causing the failure, from among information objects relating to an equipment layer, an information object which relates to the equipment layer and the physical layer associated in common with the information objects relating to the plurality of failure occurrence paths acquired by the acquisition unit; calculates, for each retrieved information object relating to a candidate for an equipment piece causing the failure, as the degree of overlap, the number of information objects associated with said object and relating to the plurality of failure occurrence paths; and for each retrieved information object relating to a candidate for an equipment piece causing the failure, the proportion of the degree of overlap with respect to the number of information objects in the logical layer that would be impacted when said object fails.
