Abstract:
Provided in the present disclosure are a network switching method and apparatus, and a storage medium. The network switching method comprises: in response to the fact that an application program of a target type is running, acquiring a signal strength value of a first communication standard network accessed by a terminal; in response to the fact that the signal strength value of the first communication standard network is less than a preset signal threshold value, receiving a redirection indication message sent by a base station; switching from the first communication standard network to a second communication standard network on the basis of the redirection indication message; and in response to determining that a signal strength value of the terminal in the second communication standard network is greater than the signal strength value of the terminal in the first communication standard network, residing in the second communication standard network. By means of the method provided in the present disclosure, the problems of the power consumption of a terminal being so large that the temperature of the terminal rises too much and poor signal strength of a second communication system network in the current environment leading to the failure to effectively reduce power consumption and a poor Internet-surfing experience being brought to users can be solved.
