Abstract:
In order for a controller in an open flow network to manage synchronization status in flow entry units, and, if all flow entries are unsynchronized, to first synchronize only specified flow entries with a switch side, a "synchronization flag" column indicating the synchronization status of each flow entry is provided in a flow table, some flow entries are set as "special entry," and a "special entry synchronization flag" indicating the synchronization status of the special entries is prepared. The values for the synchronization flag for all flow entries and the special entry synchronization flag are set to "false" if a communications disconnection of a secure channel is detected; the special entries are synchronized and the synchronization flag, etc., is updated to "true," if "false" is detected for a special entry synchronization flag; and a flow entry having a matching reception packet and transmission source/transmission destination is synchronized, and the synchronization flag value is updated to "true," if a special entry does not match the reception packet when the special entry synchronization flag is "true."
