Abstract:
A neutral point detection apparatus (10) is applied to a steering control system that is mounted in a vehicle and that acquires the steering angle of a steering device of the vehicle as a detected value by means of a steering angle sensor (21) and controls the steering device on the basis of the detected value. This neutral point detection apparatus is provided with: a straight-line determination unit (11) that determines whether a road on which the vehicle travels is straight; a straight-ahead traveling determination unit (12) that determines whether the vehicle is traveling straight ahead along the road; a steering angle acquisition unit (13) that acquires the detected value of the steering angle sensor; and a detection unit (14) that detects the neutral point of the steering angle sensor on the basis of the detected value acquired by the steering angle acquisition unit when the straight-line determination unit determines that the road is straight and the straight-ahead traveling determination unit determines that the vehicle is traveling straight ahead along the road.
