Abstract:
In order to improve the safety of neutron capture therapy, a neutron capture preparation is provided which can be accumulated in a tumor cell at a good level. A boron compound is used as a neutron-capturing agent. A W/O/W-type emulsion is formed which is composed of an inner aqueous phase containing the boron compound, an oily phase and an outer aqueous phase, and the emulsion can be used as the neutron capture preparation. Examples of the boron compound include borocaptate (BSH) and p-boronophenylalanin.
