Abstract:
A neutron radiation detection device is provided with a scintillator that generates light when radiation is irradiated thereon, an optical fiber for transmitting the light generated by the scintillator, and a discrimination unit that receives the light transmitted by the optical fiber and if the wave height of a detection signal pertaining to the received light exceeds a determination threshold (Qth), discriminates the detection signal from a signal pertaining to neutron radiation. The discrimination unit adjusts the determination threshold according to the degradation of the optical fiber.
