Abstract:
A process for the manufacture of fluorinated benzophenones and derivatives thereof by Friedel-Crafts reaction, characterized in that an aromatic ring of the starting material compound that serves as a precursor of PAEK, is reacted with a Friedel-Crafts reagent in the presence of antimony pentahalide.
